ORGANIZATION PROFILE:UpBeat Music & Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2013 to help youth reach their fullest potential through music education. UpBeat believes economics should not be a barrier to music education access, and the organization and its donors provide many scholarships to underserved youth every year. Their teachers are a passionate group who make a difference in the lives of each and every student - they are not only outstanding musicians, but relate to young people and their unique needs. Individual and peer-based small group learning environments help to facilitate social and emotional growth, while students learn the fundamentals of music performance and theory, gaining confidence and self-esteem along the way. UpBeat currently employs 19 instructors, along with 5 interns and a studio manager, and they are excited to welcome more teachers to their team!
