MCS is hiring for a LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I , in Tampa, FL . This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits. The LEAD Audio Visual Technician CTS-I must demonstrate experience with A/V, Data, Voice, Networking, and Fiber cabling. It requires good communication skills, teamwork, and staying current with industry trends and government regulations. Typical duties include: Terminating, testing, soldering, and dressing all low‑voltage cabling. Reading and interpreting blueprints. Using scissor lifts / boom lifts. Traveling to project and user locations around the greater Tampa Bay Area. Working flexible hours, including nights and/or weekends. Installing and setting up media equipment such as LCD projectors, speakers, TVs, video monitors, and cameras. Completing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction. Setting up additional AV tools such as equipment racks. Required qualifications Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge. Desired certifications: OSHA 10/30, CTS, Creston, AMX, Extron, CTS‑I. Experience Requirements: 4 years of low voltage or control systems experience. 4 years of experience installing AV/VTC equipment. Ability to terminate cabling. Access to DOD/Government facilities. Effective communication with customers. Travel to project sites outside the Tampa Bay Area.
